Angelica underwent dialysis treatment for over a decade and half of that time before she was able to undergo her kidney transplant. Angelica would be receiving the donated kidney from her mother. The 13th of September, 2013, Angelica and her mom underwent the successful transplantation of their kidney at two remarkable hospitals across the street from one another- the University Hospital of Memory and Children's Hospital of Atlanta Egleston.
