Angelica Panganiban is a Filipino-American model, host of a TV show and comedian. In 2012 when Angelica Hale was just 4 years old she became very sick with a double pneumonia attributed to an aggressive strep pneumococcal bacteria infection. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston had to place Angelica Hale in ECMO Life-Support when she urgently required life-saving medical treatments. The patient suffered from multiple organ failures, and her kidneys didn't recover. The patient was required to change her lifestyle around hemodialysis and later on peritoneal dialysate. After an eighteen-day stay in the hospital Angelica nearly died after which she began a journey to recuperation. Angelica underwent dialysis treatment for over a decade and half of that time before she was able to undergo her kidney transplant. Angelica would be receiving the donated kidney from her mother. The 13th of September, 2013, Angelica and her mom underwent the successful transplantation of their kidney at two remarkable hospitals across the street from one another- the University Hospital of Memory and Children's Hospital of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale pursued her dream of being a star for years after.
