Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actress, best known for her performances in the film Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Kun..! She was first known for the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab where she co-starred alongside an established actor Anil Koopor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared as well. As a child her Mumbai-born dancer started learning at an early stage. She ventured into acting as young and fought for several years because the majority of her first films were flops. Then she found her way to success and then went on to be one of the most prominent actors in the Indian film industry. After marriage, she experienced an absence from the industry before returning to the industry. Recently, she played a major role in Gulaab Gang. The film featured the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Her fame is based on her work in the field of social service as well.
